Surah Al Bayyinah (1-8)

Read Surah Al Bayyinah with English translation

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ

لَمْ یَكُنِ الَّذِیْنَ كَفَرُوْا مِنْ اَهْلِ الْكِتٰبِ وَ الْمُشْرِكِیْنَ مُنْفَكِّیْنَ حَتّٰى تَاْتِیَهُمُ الْبَیِّنَةُ(1) رَسُوْلٌ مِّنَ اللّٰهِ یَتْلُوْا صُحُفًا مُّطَهَّرَةً(2) فِیْهَا كُتُبٌ قَیِّمَةٌ(3) وَ مَا تَفَرَّقَ الَّذِیْنَ اُوْتُوا الْكِتٰبَ اِلَّا مِنْۢ بَعْدِ مَا جَآءَتْهُمُ الْبَیِّنَةُ(4) وَ مَاۤ اُمِرُوْۤا اِلَّا لِیَعْبُدُوا اللّٰهَ مُخْلِصِیْنَ لَهُ الدِّیْنَ حُنَفَآءَ وَ یُقِیْمُوا الصَّلٰوةَ وَ یُؤْتُوا الزَّكٰوةَ وَ ذٰلِكَ دِیْنُ الْقَیِّمَةِ(5) اِنَّ الَّذِیْنَ كَفَرُوْا مِنْ اَهْلِ الْكِتٰبِ وَ الْمُشْرِكِیْنَ فِیْ نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ خٰلِدِیْنَ فِیْهَاؕ-اُولٰٓىٕكَ هُمْ شَرُّ الْبَرِیَّةِ(6) اِنَّ الَّذِیْنَ اٰمَنُوْا وَ عَمِلُوا الصّٰلِحٰتِۙ-اُولٰٓىٕكَ هُمْ خَیْرُ الْبَرِیَّةِ(7) جَزَآؤُهُمْ عِنْدَ رَبِّهِمْ جَنّٰتُ عَدْنٍ تَجْرِیْ مِنْ تَحْتِهَا الْاَنْهٰرُ خٰلِدِیْنَ فِیْهَاۤ اَبَدًاؕ-رَضِیَ اللّٰهُ عَنْهُمْ وَ رَضُوْا عَنْهُؕ-ذٰلِكَ لِمَنْ خَشِیَ رَبَّهٗ(8)

Surah Al Bayyinah English translation

The deniers of truth from among the People of the Book and the polytheists would not desist from disbelief until they received clear evidence — (1) a messenger from God, reciting to them pure scriptures, (2) containing upright precepts. (3) Those who were given the Book did not become divided except after clear evidence was given to them. (4) They were commanded only to worship God, offering Him sincere devotion, to be sincere in their faith, to pray regularly; and to give alms, for that is the right religion. (5) Those of the deniers of truth among the People of the Book and the polytheists will dwell forever in Hell-fire. They are the worst of creatures. (6) Truly, those who believe and do good works are the best of creatures. (7) Their reward with their Lord will be Gardens of Eternity, under which rivers flow, to stay there for ever and ever (8)
